50+ Ping Submission Sites List To Boost Your Indexing In No Time

You may wonder how to index a site on the internet and Google in particular. How does an indexing system work and what are the principles behind this technical term?

Indexing designates the action of the robot (which means Program) of a search engine that passes on a site, traverses it (phase known as “crawl”), and indexes its content. When the crawler (the spider) indexes a site, it means that it visits the site,  copies the content, and stores it in the search engine’s servers.

Here we will use the term “Indexing” within the meaning of Google indexing. We will not deal with other major search engines indexing; just remember that the indexing systems are similar in their operation.

☞ The Index relates to the Google database. Nowadays, the index is estimated to be over 130 billion URLs in size.

Google’s index does not represent the entire web. The web as a whole is much larger  since Google only indexes “indexable” pages; it means that the pages can be  accessed by the search engine

The faster the pages on your site are indexed by the search engine, the faster they will be included in search results. Google’s indexing process takes anywhere from a  few minutes to ten days. No one can tell in advance when to index, it all depends on your site.

But there are several ways to speed up this process.

 1. Submit Pages for indexing in Google Search Console

To insert pages into the index as quickly as possible, use the service – Google  Search Console.

This service from Google itself helps site administrators monitor indexing status,  investigate crawling errors, and optimize sites.

2. Use a SITE MAP (SITEMAP.XML)

The XML sitemap serves as a browser for crawlers and can be used to speed up indexing.

The “Sitemap” helps search robots find pages on the site faster and index them faster.

In other words, to let search engines know which pages on your site are available for crawling; add them to the sitemap.xml file and a link to the file itself – to a special section of the webmaster panel.

Some tips for creating sitemaps:

– For a sitemap to work best, it needs to be well structured and labeled for the search  engine;

– Mark updated pages with the <lastmod> tag to add a valid last modification date;

– Create separate sitemaps for images, videos, news if your site has a lot of such content.

This segmentation will help search engines find content that is difficult to detect using conventional crawling methods (for example, if the content is loaded via JavaScript).  On a large site, separate “sitemaps” can be useful even for sections and subcategories.

If you have more than 50,000 pages or the size of the map is greater than 50MB,  create multiple sitemaps.

The created maps should be placed in an Index, which will contain links to generated  XML files. But keep in mind that the links in the sitemap are only recommendations, it is more important to create a strong site structure and organize internal links.

3. Check the structure and internal links on the site:

Internal site links build “link bridges” for search tools and “point” them in the right direction – from one page of your site to another, etc.

If the popular pages on your site link to new pages, search engines will follow and crawl them faster.

The site should not have pages “cut” from others. Unless links from categories,  sections, and other pages lead to a page, it is harder for search engines to determine its relevance and there is nowhere to go to explore.

Remember that your website should be simple and understandable to search engines and visitors.

4. Obtain Quality Backlinks:

The more quality backlinks your website has; the more attention search engine tools will pay to it.

Links to social networks and news portals perform best for indexing. They are popular; they often update their content, and therefore “trick” the search tools to crawl the resource as it becomes a habit.

If your link appears on such a site, it will likely be discovered quickly by a search engine – even “no-follow” links are lucky.

At this point, in 2020 Google changed the rules relating to “no-follow” links. As of March  1, 2020, the “no-follow” attribute becomes a recommender. This means that the search engine may follow “no-follow” links and index them.

A word on social networks

Search engines are actively “monitoring” social networks, as new content appears every second on different platforms. To use this feature for your site, you need to strengthen its social media presence.

Adding a site link to the header of a social network’s profile is not enough. For a  search engine to be interested in a business page, it has to be popular like having followers, likes, comments, and repost.

Twitter is ranked number 1 for link crawling speed. It is quickly indexed by Google. In addition, search engines index the links of active pages on Facebook. The more

followers who like and repost the posts, the faster you will get the attention of search engines.
